An eclectic musical composition in a form of a song marked by unbridled indulgence of passions.
The name "OrgYpOp" emerged during the recording sessions of the debut album. Songwriters Itsik Romano and Mitch Magonet realized that the album was an eclectic mix of musical styles, with each track embodying a different genre. Laughing about the creative chaos, they joked that it was "like an orgy of pop music," a phrase that stuck and became the project’s defining name.
The first album was released in Montreal during the summer of 1998. Completely independent and without any support of a record label or management, OrgYpOp managed to gain modest airplay on indie college radio stations in Canada and the U.S. Weekly performances at local venues promoting the album, including a recurring Friday night set at Cine Express venue in downtown Montreal.

In 1999, OrgYpOp released the debut album in the Philippines under the Tiger Records publishing, introducing the music to the Asian market. The album received regional attention and received radio plays across the Philippines and Vietnam. An in-studio interview with the iconic broadcaster “Cousin Hoagy” Pardo can be heard here.
During this period, OrgYpOp recorded a new title, Rainbow, that later appeared on their following album RE:FW:.
As the new millennium began, OrgYpOp continued exploring collaborative musical creativity with the release of RE:FW: in 2001. This 16-track album showcased a fresh, diverse approach to songwriting and production. Released exclusively in digital format on MP3.com, the album encouraged free downloads and sharing among a growing fanbase. The standout track “Closer” gained notable traction, receiving airplay on online radio stations in Canada and the U.S.
In 2003, OrgYpOp released a YouTube video of their cover of Alphaville's iconic 80s hit Forever Young. The positive reception inspired the band to return to the studio to record a full album, which included fan favorites such as Popeye Dilemma, Closer, and Nothing in the World That Makes You Cry.
Between 2014 and 2024, OrgYpOp recorded two singles (Together and Wait For You and two albums, Touched Again and Saturday, signaling a return to the creative path of mixed Indie songwriting.
